Director in Memoriam
Maya has been with the Gallery since July 2018, in the role of Administrator. She has her BA in English Literature & Communications from Simon Fraser University, with certificates in Winemaking and Accounting. Prior to joining the Gallery, Maya worked in all aspects of the wine industry for over a decade, and most recently as a winery General Manager. Maya has proven herself as a strong leader and has spearheaded incredible organizational and strategic changes to the management of the Gallery. Please contact Maya for any questions around the management of the Gallery, including financial matters, grants and contracts.
Paul has been with the Gallery for over 12 years. He has a Fine Arts degree from the University of Victoria. In the time that he has been our Curator, he has established a track record of putting together challenging and informative exhibitions. His connection to other BC galleries and communities has allowed great relationships and collaborations, such as the En’owkin Centre exhibitions, Buddhist monks installation and the Ipseity exhibition. McKaila Ferguson, MSc
Collections + Communications Manager
McKaila joined the Gallery in April 2019, after receiving her MSc from the University of Glasgow. She has been cataloguing and documenting our Permanent Collection into a new, accessible online database. She has also been enhancing our online presence, updating our website, and keeping the community informed about Gallery news through our ArtsLetter. Please contact McKaila if you wish to donate art to the Gallery, need information about the Permanent Collection, or for PR matters.
Carla O’Bee, BFA, BEd
Education + Programming Coordinator
Carla has a Fine Arts Degree and Bachelor’s of Education from the University of British Columbia. Carla has worked both as a teacher and an artist. She coordinates our programming and events, along with connecting to schools and the community concerning events and sponsorship. Please contact Carla with regards to programming and events, to schedule a school tour, or if you are interested in sponsoring the Gallery.
Gift Shop Manager
Karen has a history of art store ownership, and is taking our Gift Shop to new heights with exciting and eclectic gift offerings. Karen is a master of organization and has worked tirelessly to get the Gallery looking spic and span. Please contact Karen if you would like to have your work be represented in our Gift Shop, or for information about our current artisans and products.
